Thomas is a senior solicitor and co-owner of Marrawah Law. Coming from a background in general private practice Tom has in-depth experience across the fields of litigation, commercial law, family law, and native title.

Tom is currently an independent director of the Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation. In 2013/2014 Tom was elected the President of the North Queensland Law Association.

For several years Tom was a member of the management committee for the Far North Queensland Law Association.

  • arriage of numerous matters to hearing in civil litigation and family law in Magistrates, Supreme, Federal Circuit and Family Courts including appearing at trial as the advocate
  • Acted as solicitor on the record for a local government running a civil prosecution for environmental offences
  • Acted for indigenous parties negotiating tourism joint ventures
  • Provided routine debt recovery services for small businesses
  • Preparation of policy and precedent documents for local governments
  • Negotiated various section 31 Deeds and ancillary agreements through the ‘right to negotiate’ process
